1.
See this blood that flows between our veins and keeps the ground beneath us. Sweet as water, soft to touch and taste and well enough to feed us; these bones we wrap ourselves around to keep our heads from falling, strong as stone, unwilling to come down to troubled minds that call. I don't believe in worrying. Having feet on the ground can count as something. As long as you can carry it what you say will be worthwhile. To measure worth in other terms or rounds can only teach you one thing - to forget about living here and now and keep today from running I take no relief in worrying. To have a space in the crowd can count as one thing. There's not too much I'm carrying so I'll say what is worthwhile. And don't ask what my arms are open for. I seek no kind reward in light of honest words we'd work no harder for to keep this world spinning round. So lay your feet in cooler water that leaves you time to breathe. And don't make much of this disorder.

Mirrors 05:35
The mad light that keeps my eyes open to mirrors I've broken and vistas I've chosen to look upon And windows as wide as we opened were wide as the ocean and close as we could come to anyone. When this wave was rising and you said, 'Hold on, There's a love that channels in between, a road that we can ever run free on, a window we can always see through. But if you see me as I see you and your words say what you mean them to we will always have a road to run by.' If this sky should blacken and this ship is doomed to go under it's still been a wonder to see it all and know that for all that we've been through - the turn of the planets - we've all that we need to, to piece up this jigsaw of broken reflections and know There's a love that channels in between, a road that we can ever run free on, a window we can always see through. But if you see me as I see you and your words say what you mean them to we will always have a road to run by. When the wind is ever beating and it's blinding just to breathe in we will always have a seat for sunrise. So the city glows in a wild rose and the river flows to a wide ocean, a bright island, a bright hope that we can never pass by. And the sun will blaze through a keyhole with the starlight in a free-fall and the lights rise to the wide window of an open eye. And this time we'll see through a new light and breathe into new life the pieces we've picked up on our way of mirrors and turn this light near us, a torch we can see by to guide us to daylight and never stray from our view, and though we may hunger for now in a lifetime, we're moving much faster than we'll ever know. And we'll be a lighthouse when the night shows his face.

Don't tell me which way the wind blows. I can see how it moves and touches everything. And I won't show the world where you're wrong here or change your mind about anything. But are you going to feel this way forever When you know it's going be ok in the end? And the world will twist and turn as long as life's bright fires burn. But if you hold it all in doubt you live your life from hand to mouth. And when the world gets old we'll make a new one that fits just right and fits everyone. But are you going to stay this way forever When you know it's going to change someday for the best? And the world will twist and turn as long as life's bright fires burn. But if you hold it all in doubt you live your life from hand to mouth. Now I did fall and make mistakes but I did never lose my faith. But if you hold the world in doubt you'll live your life from hand to mouth.
4.
There were so many ways to lead us out and cut our teeth, And there was so little time to way this up and make ends meet, And you were a long-distance runner and I could tell by your feet that you had every step and change of rhythm worked out beat by beat. But where water is water and the river is now you can see where it gets to but can only guess how. But if you sleep when I'm dreaming then we'll never miss out. So we hung out coats and hats and hopes for high tide to wash away And we marched miles right out across the open ocean. And we were long gone from this world to another far from here. And what I never knew was just how distant we could get without a single tear. To where water is water and the river is now we can see where it gets to but can only guess how. And if you sleep when I'm dreaming then we'll never miss out. So we laid every step and change of rhythm forward for all to see, And someone somewhere high above our heads was laughing. And if heaven has another word for dream I'll never underestimate a single possibility and even if we never get to where it is we're trying to be, to see and feel and hear the things we want to feel and hear and see, it's always going to be a part of what it is we're going to be.
