1.
Beauty 04:38
Beauty O my Lord!  Make Thy beauty to be my food, and Thy presence my drink, and Thy pleasure my hope, and praise of Thee my action, and remembrance of Thee my companion, and the power of Thy sovereignty my succorer, and Thy habitation my home, and my dwelling-place the seat Thou hast sanctified from the limitations imposed upon them who are shut out as by a veil from Thee. Thou art, verily, the Almighty, the All-Glorious, the Most Powerful. From Prayers and Meditations by Bahá’u'lláh, CLXVIII
2.
Healing 04:06
Healing Thy name is my healing, O my God, and remembrance of Thee is my remedy.  Nearness to Thee is my hope, and love for Thee is my companion.  Thy mercy to me is my healing and my succor in both this world and the world to come.  Thou, verily, art the All-Bountiful, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise. From Prayers and Meditations by Bahá’u'lláh, CLXX
3.
Garden of Thy Heart O Friend! In the garden of thy heart plant naught but the rose of love, and from the nightingale of affection and desire loosen not thy hold. Treasure the companionship of the righteous and eschew all fellowship with the ungodly. From The Hidden Words of Bahá’u’lláh, Part 2, No 3
4.
My First Counsel O Son of Spirit! My first counsel is this: Possess a pure, kindly and radiant heart, that thine may be a sovereignty, ancient, imperishable and everlasting.  From The Hidden Words of Bahá’u’lláh, Part 1, No 1
5.
The Sign of Love O Son of Man! For everything there is a sign. The sign of love is fortitude under My decree and patience under My trials. From The Hidden Words of Bahá’u’lláh, Part 1, No 48
6.
Reckoning 03:31
Reckoning O Son of Being! Bring thyself to account each day ere thou art summoned to a reckoning; for death, unheralded, shall come upon thee and thou shalt be called to give account for thy deeds. From The Hidden Words of Bahá’u’lláh, Part 1, No 31
7.
Turn Thy Face O Son of Utterance! Turn thy face unto Mine and renounce all save Me; for My sovereignty endureth and My dominion perisheth not. If thou seekest another than Me, yea, if thou searchest the universe for evermore, thy quest will be in vain. From The Hidden Words of Bahá’u’lláh, Part 1, No 15
8.
Seek No Other O Son of Man! Be thou content with Me and seek no other helper. For none but Me can ever suffice thee. From The Hidden Words of Bahá’u’lláh, Part 1, No 17
9.
Paradise 05:10
Paradise O Son of Being! Thy Paradise is My love; thy heavenly home, reunion with Me. Enter therein and tarry not. This is that which hath been destined for thee in Our kingdom above and Our exalted dominion. From The Hidden Words of Bahá’u’lláh, Part 1, No 6
10.
Dominion 03:21
Dominion O Son of Man! Thou art My dominion and My dominion perisheth not; wherefore fearest thou thy perishing? Thou art My light and My light shall never be extinguished; why dost thou dread extinction? Thou art My glory and My glory fadeth not; thou art My robe and My robe shall never be outworn. Abide then in thy love for Me, that thou mayest find Me in the realm of glory. From The Hidden Words of Bahá’u’lláh, Part 1, No 14

about

Year of the Nightingale is my first full-length studio album of songs based on the Bahá'í Writings. It was produced by sound-engineer/rocket-scientist Kelly Snook and features musical contributions from some of my best friends and favourite musicians. It was made with love and science, recorded in more studios than there are songs on the album, and released in honour of the Bahá'í Community's 2017 celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the Birth of Bahá'u'lláh (1817-1892)
